Our winemaker, John Levenberg, started Nueva Vista Consulting after 12 years of winemaking experience – specializing in winery development and premium production, working with both start-up and established wineries throughout the mid-Atlantic. After completing the Master’s Program in Viticulture and Enology in 1996, he spent the next nine years working at wineries in California, France, and New Zealand. In 2005, John moved to the North Fork of Long Island, intrigued by the possibility of making better balanced wines – success was achieved throughout the mid-Atlantic including Best in State, Best in Show, and Governor’s Cup for his work at several wineries.
John currently resides in Oberlin, Ohio and consults for wineries and vineyards in New Jersey, Maryland, Virginia, and Pennsylvania – you can find him driving up and down the 95 corridor and PA Turnpike during harvest, with his latest stop here at Greendance.
