Frontenac Gris 2015

Frontenac Gris

A crisp and clean rosé, Frontenac Gris has unique and complex flavors that make this an excellent grape for table, dessert, and even ice wines. Frontenac Gris was originally identified as a single bud sport cane found growing on a Frontenac vine at the University of Minnesota Horticultural Research Center in 1992. Plants were then propagated from this single cane and have all produced gray rather than black fruit. Its bronze skin lends color to the juice, resulting in wines typically ranging from pale gold to rich amber and rose.
