A mid-Atlantic favorite, this flavor is known mostly to those who have spent their childhood summers among the briar patches. It is distinct, unique and unlike the flavor of any other fruit. this wine reflects everything that is black raspberry. Back sweetened with pure black raspberry juice to slightly less than field ripeness for a short bite, it fills your whole palate with flavor. These berries are a challenge to grow and especially hard to pick because of their scratchy thorns. Unfortunately, the price reflects these handicaps.
