Welcome to Cafe Persimmon – enjoy Sand Hill Berries famous pies and cheesecakes by-the-slice and à la mode. Baked fresh daily, berry pies, apple pies, cobblers, old-fashioned crisp, and ice creams swirled with deliciousness and drizzled in raspberry topping – if wine is heaven in a glass, these sweets are heaven on a plate. Summer & autumn weekends feature additional specials.
The Sand Hill Cafe has been a destination on the farm for almost 20 years. Starting life as the club house-shack for the family kids, the original building has been totally transformed into a country cafe with covered porch for rainy day desserting – renamed Cafe Persimmon for the native persimmon tree at the center of the patio. Here you will find the occasional slice still served on vintage L.E. Smith glass plates – a nod to the great history of glass making that fueled the early days of our town.
